MEMBRANE-SPANNING PORE OF HUMAN NICOTINIC ACETYLCHOLINE RECEPTOR (ALPHA1,BETA1,DELTA,ALPHA1,GAMMA SUBUNITS)

3D structure of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) from Torpedo marmorata was obtained by electron microscopy (PDB ID: 1OED)(Nature, 423, 949-955, 2003).

nAChR controles electrical signalling between nerve and muscle cells by opening and closing a gated, membrane-spanning pore.

This model is muscle type human nAChR during development constructed by FAMS Ligand&Complex based on 1OED.
